The Lungo story.
The Lungo is the One, the first bag sketched for Maison Philippe Montagne. Designed by MPM according to our Modus Operandi : Achieve a timeless design and strike a balance between innovation, sophistication and functionality.
The original leather bag for travelers was originally called the flight bag or the pilot case.
We tweaked the dimensions-reduced them actually- to give it the innovative and sophisticated look we are so fond of, so you can use it for your everyday commuting, but we kept it functional enough, so you can still pack in it the necessary equipment for a short trip.

That’s the Lungo.
We played with length, width and height until we had a bag which looked sharp and slim, but still packed loads of things inside, and while still meeting the carry-on size restrictions, but anyway no airline clerk will ever ask you to slip your bag in the measuring gauge because all he will see will be a slim satchel which surely should slide in, and with space to spare.
Lungo ( from Italian lùn·go, English long) : An espresso drink pulled longer, with double the water, an allongé "elongated" coffee, if you want (in French: café allongé ).
That’s what we have here, a compact bag which has been elongated, but is still a compact bag in nature.
Say, you’re going for a 2 days intercity trip for business, for leisure , or both for bleisure here’s what you can pack in the outside and inside pockets :
Outside you get 1 big zip pocket for your passport, wallet or sunglasses, one flat pocket for newspapers or books, one side pass-through sleeve to slip in your sweater or the bag on a trolley handle.
And inside a laptop up to 16" in a padded protective pocket, compact camera, charger, keys, 2 pens, tablet or E-reader, business cards and SIM cards in the corresponding pockets, and also, one full set of change (shirt, underwear and socks), a cardigan, a toilet bag, and another pair of shoes.
Not bad for a rather compact bag.
