RETURN POLICY ON MPM PRODUCTS

If you have bought something that is not suitable for your size or taste, or you simply have changed your mind, you are of course welcome to return the item(s). You have a fourteen (14) days full return period from the day you receive your package.

 

ELIGIBILITY OF RETURNS

To be eligible to a return, the general principle is that the item must be in its original condition. If you would like to return an item to this website, you must notify MPM within 14 days from the date of delivery. You will then have 14 days from the notification date to return your item to the address on the return shipping label.

In some specific cases or due to hygienic reasons, returns or refunds are not possible on intimate goods such as swimwear or undergarments, final sale and clearance items, products clearly stated as non-refundable and non-exchangeable, as well as personalized products.

Please note the return policy of the website Philippemontagne.com applies solely for products purchased on that website. Products purchased at an MPM store or any other reseller including online must be dealt with these stores. Items purchased at an MPM store or other retailers or distributors cannot be returned to the website. While items purchased on this website can only be returned to Philippemontagne.com

 

CONDITIONS OF RETURNS

The product must be returned in its original condition i.e. unused, undamaged, unworn, unmodified, with all tags attached, and in the original packaging [colour box and/or shipping box]. We advise to contact us about this point, before shipping back, in order to avoid unecessary expenses on your side.

 

SHIPPING OF RETURNS

Customer is responsible for the return cost of shipment as per conditions stated above, please slip inside the box the order or invoice number for faster processing. We recommend using a reputable courier company with trackable delivery in order for the item not to get lost in transport.

Do specify, and request confirmation to transport company that this is a return under guarantee so not liable to import tax, vat or sales tax upon arrival to destination.

COSTS OF RETURN

We understand your decision to proceed to a return, but this is a costly procedure with heavy administrative charges on our side such as admin costs, restorage costs, quality control costs, additional custom duties costs or other unforeseen costs depending of country of shipment. We therefore charge a minor participation fee [which does not, even closely, reflect the total cost incurred] of 50 euros par shipment [In total, so even if shipment includes several products] .

For items eligible for returns, return shipment fees are to be paid by customer.

For international shipments [except intra-EC shipment] the customer is responsible for potential custom duties, taxes or fees associated with the return shipment. If, for any reason, MPM had to pay for custom duties, taxes or fees associated with your return, we reserve the right to deduct these costs from the refund amount.

WARRANTY ON YOUR MPM BAG OR SUITCASE

MPM’s guarantee covers the functional aspects of your suitcase or leather product. MPM’s warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, abuse or misuse. Damage from improper care or alterations is also not covered

To claim the guarantee, please contact us by email. If the defect is covered by the guarantee, we will repair or replace the product. You will be responsible for the cost of shipping your product to MPM. We will then cover the costs incurred, including the return shipment.

The product may be replaced or repaired with updated parts as close as possible to the former product/component.The guarantee is limited to the value of the product.

Claims not expressly mentioned in these terms, including but not limited to damage claims (e.g., indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, or other similar types of damages) are excluded. Any product replaced shall be the property of MPM upon delivery of the replacement product. The repair of the product shall not extend this warranty. However, a full replacement product is covered by a new 2-year limited manufacturer’s warranty.

 

2 Year Guarantee on your product

A 2-year manufacturer’s guarantee applies.

2-1/ What is covered by the warranty:The manufacturer’s guarantee covers manufacturing defects.During this warranty period, if the MPM product you purchase has a manufacturing issue, the brand will provide repair or replacement services.

This guarantee only applies if the usability of the product is considerably and adversely affected by a manufacturing defect already present at the time of hand-over or delivery.

This warranty generally only covers problems that occur under normal conditions of use and does not cover man-made damage, accidental damage or normal wear and tear

2/2: What is not covered by the guarantee : The manufacturer’s guarantee does not apply to the following cases:

Restriction of usability due to abrasion, improper use, faulty operation, or externally occurring forces, particularly flight or transport damage (e.g. deformation, cracks, body breakages, scratches, wear etc.) or due to aggressive cleaners.

Concerning the suitcases: Improper use also includes the continued usage of a suitcase despite blockings of the wheel (e.g. blockings caused by foreign objects) or impairments such as loose components (e.g. telescopic handles or wheel housings). It is highly recommended inspecting your product immediately after retrieval from transport handling and immediately reporting any damage to the carrier (e.g. airline or railway company) who is insured against this.

Concerning leather: Leather is a natural product that can change, discolour or fade, particularly under the influence of skin contact, light and water, but also through the use of unsuitable cleaners, post-purchase impregnation and textile dyes. Heat and dehydration can lead to the formation of cracks or tears in the leather. Modifications of the aspect of leather in time is therefore very logically not covered.

As this guarantee will be governed by the Law of the French Republic, your country-specific warranty rights (e.g. against the seller) may differ in the way they regulate liability for defects, compensation claims etc.

 

THIS WARRANTY IS YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY AGAINST MPM. IN NO EVENT WILL MPM OR ITS SERVICE CENTERS BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL (E.G. FINANCIAL LOSSES), SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY OR OTHER SIMILAR TYPES OF DAMAGES. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED. MPM’S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY YOU FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AS SHOWN ON THE PROOF OF PURCHASE OR, IF PROOF OF PURCHASE IS NOT PROVIDED, TO MPM’S SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE FOR THE PRODUCT IN YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE AT THE TIME THE CLAIM IS MADE.

HOW U.S. LAW APPLIES TO THIS WARRANTY (FOR U.S. RESIDENTS ONLY)

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. U.S. federal warranty law prohibits the disclaimer of implied warranties, so the above disclaimer of implied warranties may not apply to you. If the disclaimer of implied warranties does not apply to you, the duration of the applicable implied warranties is restricted to the 2-year duration of this warranty.

This limited manufacturer’s warranty will be governed by the Law of the French Republic and is issued by the MPM Sas, Paris, France.
